NHESA Privacy Policy
The National Health and Exercise Science Association (NHESA) respects your privacy. The individual identifying information you supply to us or that is collected via your experience at our online website, www.nhesa.org, is used for purposes of serving you better. "Individual identifying information" is information that enables us to identify you, such as your e-mail address, name, title and address. NHESA may use the individual identifying information to selectively send you communications, either electronically or otherwise, that may be of interest to you.
By using this site you consent to the data collection practices described in this statement.


1. Notice and Disclosure
This Privacy Statement is made available to you in order to make you aware of how NHESA collects and uses individual identifying information of visitors to NHESA website. NHESA collects the following information regarding visitors to our website: domain name, name, information regarding what pages are accessed, and information volunteered by you, such as survey information, e-mail address, or site registrations, and your preferred means of communication. Except as otherwise described in this statement, NHESA does NOT make individual identifying information available to third parties, including our business partners. We occasionally hire independent contractors to augment our consulting services division, however, these contractors shall only be provided with the individual identifying information they need to deliver our services, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. NHESA may use individual identifying information to contact you for marketing purposes.
We may disclose individual identifying information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief such action is necessary to protect and defend our rights or property, or your health and safety.


2. Choice/Consent
New registrants to NHESA have the choice to opt out of having individual identifying information that is provided in the registration process used for any purpose other than for the purpose for which the information was provided to us. When you sign up for an e-mail list, you will be given instructions at that time on how to remove yourself from that list. Access to certain NHESA web pages requires a login and password. The use of those web pages, and the information or programs downloadable from those sites, may be governed by a written agreement between your employer and NHESA. Your individual identifying information may be retained by NHESA to verify compliance with the agreement, to log software licenses granted, to track software downloaded from those pages, or to track usage of other applications available on www.nhesa.org.


3. Data Security
NHESA is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect the individual identifying information that you provide to us. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your individual identifying information. For example, we limit access to individual identifying information by storing it on computer servers that are password protected, we use firewall protection for servers that have access to the Internet, and highly sensitive data (such as credit card numbers) is stored on servers that have no Internet connections and we limit access to such information to designated staff members.

5. Use of Cookies
